This is part one of a two part series taken last week on the Gold Coast. I was working with a great team of talented people to generate a range of new images. We wanted straight lines, structure and a slight industrial edge to the photos. After scouting around for a suitable location we stumbled across the Gold Coast Titans Stadium in Robina. Being a weekday the place was deserted so we pulled off a guerrilla style shoot. Jumping out of the car and shooting away whilst always being prepared to be moved on by security… which didn’t happen!

Introducing YUMIe (pronounced Yu-Mi-Eh), a new accessory label I will be working for. Be on the lookout for a new website, photo campaigns and videos. Very exciting times!
This footage was shot with my new Canon 7D and 100mm f2.8 macro lens. This 7D will now be set up as a permanent video rig as I have acquired some support rigs for it.
This blog has been pretty quiet lately. This is mainly due to the fact that I have just been through one of my busiest work periods for some time. A number of large corporate projects popped up at the same time so I have had my head down. Not much shooting has been happening but that will change next week with a number of photo shoots scheduled in. A few exciting commercial gigs just down the road to keep an eye out for too.
Here are a few screenshots of what has been consuming my time. Firstly is a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for LYM. This system will be deployed within their corporate intranet and provides a GUI for navigating through their Work Management System. It also provides interactive training. The system was developed with Flex, Flash and HTML.
I have also been busy developing an interactive presentation for a new software application developed in house by the Rylson Group. This presentation showcases the software’s capabilities and will be displayed at industry trade shows and conferences around the country.
If you are anything like me and work from multiple computers… Currently I regularly work from a desktop PC, PC laptop, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, a PC Media Centre and my iPhone. Then you would know the hassles of sharing your files between them. I used to email myself files, FTP or use external drives or usb sticks etc.
I am now converted to Dropbox! This free tool allows you to sync your files online and across your multiple computers (PC & Mac) automatically. This might sound like a bit of a plug… and it is! I really love this tool. Just thought I would let you know :~)

More experimentation with video footage taken with my Canon 5DmkII at the photoshoot with Danielle Bobir.
Frames were dropped out of the video footage then blended together in After Effects to achieve this effect. Since I was exporting still frames out of the video I also dropped them into Lightroom first to batch colour correct the footage.
