It has been very busy around here lately! We spent most of last week on location shooting the 2010/11 Veve Glamour Swimwear Catalogue. It is carnival inspired so the wonderful people at Aussie World gave us full access to their grounds for 3 days. I wanted to play up the soft pastel palette against the black rocks of Fingal Heads. The garments for this shoot supplied by Begitta came from her Doll House Collection which inspired the doll-like poses used throughout this shoot. Kudos must go to Nicole for negotiating the rocks in towering heels, all for that ‘perfect shot’.

This is part one of a two part series taken last week on the Gold Coast. I was working with a great team of talented people to generate a range of new images. We wanted straight lines, structure and a slight industrial edge to the photos. After scouting around for a suitable location we stumbled across the Gold Coast Titans Stadium in Robina. Being a weekday the place was deserted so we pulled off a guerrilla style shoot. Jumping out of the car and shooting away whilst always being prepared to be moved on by security… which didn’t happen!

You may have seen some of this footage before but this is more of an experiment with some different editing techniques in After Effects.
I am now editing video on my PC. It has much more grunt than my mac so I am now working with Premiere and After Effects on the PC. I was becoming annoyed with the long render times on the mac. I have discovered a great proxy editing process for 5DmkII files in Premier which has been working well… and fast! I just wish After Effects was 64 bit so I can take advantage of the large amounts of RAM I have installed.
All of the footage was taken from various photoshoots I have done and if you explore this blog you will find the still photos associated with them. (All shot with the Canon 5DmkII)

Here is a sneak peak at the soon to be released Winter 2010 Bullzye range. We shot this in Brisbane on an incredibly rainy day but were fortunate enough to score a break in the weather for long enough to get the required shots. As soon as we were finished it started pouring with rain. I am rarely this lucky!
