MIA PATSY

MIA PATSY is a brand new shoe and accessory brand which will be launched in October this year. They hired us recently to shoot their new marketing campaign which took place in the most gorgeous space in Metro Arts in Brisbane. We had full access to the fourth floor for the day and shot many different sets of images to showcase MIA PATSY’s new products.

We were lucky enough to have enough natural light from the large windows to get a great feel to the shoot. The images will be launched when the label is but in the mean time we shot a quick teaser video to give you an insight into the new label.

The video was shot with a Canon 7D in natural light.

July has been an incredibly busy month for us here! We have a lot of new photo sets to show you but most are under embargo until their respective catalogues and campaigns are launched. Been on the lookout for the Veve 2010/11 Carnival Collection catalogue and website. Lust Promotions campaign and website. Mia Patsy campaign and behind the scenes video, and The Bullzye 2010/11 Summer Collection.

I personally am hoping next month is a bit quieter as I have a number of personal projects I want to pursue. Some time to relax would be nice too.

Veve Carnival Launch

It has been very busy around here lately! We spent most of last week on location shooting the 2010/11 Veve Glamour Swimwear Catalogue. It is carnival inspired so the wonderful people at Aussie World gave us full access to their grounds for 3 days. The official launch of the new range is on the 29th July at the Gold Coast International. Get your tickets now!

Slated Sorbet

Taken verbatim from Michelle’s blog… (As I have lost the ability to write anything of sense after a long days work)

I wanted to play up the soft pastel palette against the black rocks of Fingal Heads. The garments for this shoot supplied by Begitta came from her Doll House Collection which inspired the doll-like poses used throughout this shoot. Kudos must go to Nicole for negotiating the rocks in towering heels, all for that ‘perfect shot’.

The Sun Goddess. We shot this series in Currumbin Valley in perfect conditions for the style of shoot we had envisaged. Don’t you just love those rare occasions where the final outcome far exceeds the vision you had beforehand! Again this wouldn’t have been possible without an exceptional team of people…

Beleza; Portuguese for beauty. This pretty much sums up Brazilian model Renata! We had the opportunity to shoot her last week whilst down on the Gold Coast… What a natural beauty and amazing to work with!

Aphrodisiac Jacket…

This is part one of a two part series taken last week on the Gold Coast. I was working with a great team of talented people to generate a range of new images. We wanted straight lines, structure and a slight industrial edge to the photos. After scouting around for a suitable location we stumbled across the Gold Coast Titans Stadium in Robina. Being a weekday the place was deserted so we pulled off a guerrilla style shoot. Jumping out of the car and shooting away whilst always being prepared to be moved on by security… which didn’t happen!

Moving Models

You may have seen some of this footage before but this is more of an experiment with some different editing techniques in After Effects.

I am now editing video on my PC. It has much more grunt than my mac so I am now working with Premiere and After Effects on the PC. I was becoming annoyed with the long render times on the mac. I have discovered a great proxy editing process for 5DmkII files in Premier which has been working well… and fast! I just wish After Effects was 64 bit so I can take advantage of the large amounts of RAM I have installed.

All of the footage was taken from various photoshoots I have done and if you explore this blog you will find the still photos associated with them. (All shot with the Canon 5DmkII)

Bullzye Sneak Peak…

Here is a sneak peak at the soon to be released Winter 2010 Bullzye range. We shot this in Brisbane on an incredibly rainy day but were fortunate enough to score a break in the weather for long enough to get the required shots. As soon as we were finished it started pouring with rain. I am rarely this lucky!
