I just stumbled onto this article. How Could This Happen to Annie Leibovitz?

What an amazing read! It is 8 pages long so I would advise on reading it when you have a bit of spare time but how intriguing to get a glimpse into the life of one the greatest photographers ever. A little sad to but hey… just knock out some portrait prints for $US33,000 each and you might be able to get back on top of things. That is if the bastards let you keep your copyright!

As for what else I have been up to… well I have been a bit quiet with the blog. I had rather an elaborate shoot last week in Brisbane. We secured the use of the amazing functions center Mirra for a lingerie shoot. Pleasure State also came on board and supplied us with some of their fantastic lingerie. The photos and video look great but they are still in the editing que due to other work commitments. I will post them up as soon as they are ready.

Also just got some other AMAZING news last night. I don’t want to say what it is just yet as I want to make sure it all goes through but lets just say it has something to with some of my photos and one of the most iconic publications in the world. Very exciting! :~)

Studio Shots – George Salons

We were recently asked by George Salons to photograph a selection of their clients/models at an inhouse staff training day. This all took place within a make shift studio set up inside the salon at Kangaroo Point, Brisbane. Each member of George’s staff had to source their own model, wardrobe and styling. I was then given guidance on how they envisaged the photshoot. Below is a very small selection of photos from the day. There were about 10 models shot in total over what was very busy day.

George is a true professional. Although the work above is of his staff (who are also very talented) we have worked with George on a number of commercial shoots in the past and his creative hair designs are amazing. Drop into his salon if you yeed a new style!

Sugar & Spice Catalogue

We have been successfully working with Sugar & Spice Brides and Grooms for the last couple of years now. During this time we have been involved in a number of photoshoots and have produced 3 catalogues for them including both the photography and their graphic design. Here is a glimpse at their latest catalogue showcasing their new formal range and a few shots from their latest Bridal collection. Also shown is some past work from both their Bridesmaids and Ball Gown collections;

All photography and graphic design by glenbowden.com. Makeup by Danielle Robinson.

The Sugar & Spice showroom is located at Chermside in Brisbane and the Outlet Store situated at Strathpine.You will be able to pick up these catalogues in print at these stores.

All of the above photos were taken in their Chermside store. This was challenging as we had to set up our own studio gear within a restricted space and also had to deal with customers as the shop was still open for business. Controlling the light and the ambient spill was also a challenge. I will try and remember to take some behind the scenes photos of the lighting set ups from now on too.
