I would imagine most would associate glenbowden.com with photography. Yes that is certainly my passion but a large part of my work still comes from the corporate world in the fields of graphic design and web development. I have been contracting to the Rylson Group on and off for almost a decade now.The Rylson Group is an International Engineering Consultancy company. Check out www.rylson.com.au for more info on them. My role here has varied from developing corporate intranets and extranets to establishing their corporate identity and marketing material. The latest major in house project in Rylson has seen them develop a next generation software solution offering the only comprehensive approach to Total Life Cycle Planning in an enterprise grade system! Yes its that exciting! My role in all this… well I have branded this product, designed its logo and icons that will be used within the system and now the new marketing brochure. I will also be putting together some interactive presentations and interactive demos of the software in the near future. The software is still under development and will be officially launched later this year to blue chip clients like Anglo Coal.
In the meantime I thought I would give you a look at version one of the brochure design…

We were just sent some previews of the Bullzye Spring-Summer 2009/10 Catalogue. Its at the printers now but here is a sneak peak. Its growing every season… now up to 32 pages! All photography by glenbowden.com
Well I have had the 5DmkII for a few months now and love it but I have not had a play with its full HD video capabilities yet. After recently catching the video editing bug whilst making the Veve behind the scenes vids I thought I should give it a run.
Hours were spent researching and reading up on not just how to use the video on the 5DmkII but also learning the best ways to transcode it and edit it efficiently. This was my first play with Final Cut as well… Theres a whole new world out there… but something I hope to explore a lot more in the future. Photos and video and videos with photos… sounds like loads of fun to me!
So enough talking… here is the very first experiment with the moving image on my 5DmkII. The muse is my beautiful Michelle whom I hope will be helping me experiment with many new things in the future! :~P Thankyou!
Bullzye
We were out with the crew of Bullzye last week. I believe this is about our 6th catalogue we have shot for them now! Great guys with a great range of gear!
The last few shoots for them have been studio based and after my constant nagging they finally let me go outside again. We were lucky enough to get male model Luke @ Viviens again for this shoot whom we have used for the last couple and seeing that our regular female model is now off modeling in Milan and Hong Kong, Nicole Glenane also @ Viviens was cast for the shoot.

Here are a few of the shots taken at a pony club in east Brisbane. All using natural light at around 10am.

Some footage from when we were recently in Bali shooting the 2009/10 catalogue for Veve Glamour Swimear. We spent four days shooting the catalogue all over Bali. Being based in Legian provided us with some great and easily accessible locations right out our resorts front door. Check out the video to see what and where we got up to.
